Last Saturday was so much fun at Teacher Jenny’s. We played, learned, and had wonderful conversations.
The focus for the event was vibrations. Teacher Jenny set up a glass container, secured plastic wrap to the top with a rubber band, then placed some salt on top. We then played around with a small speaker making the salt dance! We tried inside the container, on the outside, and different volumes. We then curled up pipe cleaners and when they were on top they would spin! The kids LOVED it.
Teacher Jenny then brought out some instruments that we could all play. The flute was a big hit. We even used the drum with the speaker to see how the vibrations were different than when we used the glass jar.
While the kids then had some free play time, the adults had a wonderful conversation about playing together. It was a great experience for parents, as the class offers a wonderful opportunity to bond with your chile while being part of a supportive community of families.
The class was interactive, energetic, and full of movement! The session was full of engaging activities like dancing, clapping, and playing simple instruments, which kept the littles and parents captivated and active throughout the entire class. It’s amazing to see how much the littles started to pick up on musical patterns and rhythm.
We can’t wait to go back for the next class!
